First New Calf of 2013

The first new calf of 2013 arrived a couple of days ago.  It's a girl!  The cow and calf are both doing well......actually the mother is a bit mad.  She doesn't want any of us near her or the calf.

So, we put her outside for a while....and we enjoy the calf!

She's adorable.  The kids have decided to call her 'Star' because of the marking on her forehead.

 

Sophie gave her some love.

 



Even our dog, Ruby, gave her some love.

I thought this photo was sort of cute.  Lydia asked me to take her picture....meanwhile there is a lamb nearly eating her hat...the calf is looking at her and the dog is running by!
